Longbows Noonan Gone for Year
Thursday, June 30th , 2078
When Bill Noonan was hurt against the Eagle Mountain Scavengers, the Anchorage Longbows were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 24-year-old starting pitcher suffered a torn labrum throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Noonan would miss 11 months of the season.
In 2 starts this season, Noonan has picked up no wins while suffering 3 losses. He has pitched 15.1 innings, allowed 22 hits, struck out 16 and posted a 8.22 ERA.
