Great Day for Dymond, Hits for Cycle Thursday, June 16th , 2078 Sault Ste. Marie's Colin Dymond accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Dymond finished 4-for-4 with 3 RBI and 4 runs scored and helped the Dukes knock off the Newport News Herons, 9-3, at Ballpark of Newport News. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Dymond told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Colin Dymond hit a solo-shot off Bing-zhong Wang in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. This year, Dymond is batting .257 with 55 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 33 times and has batted in 35 runs. View Boxscore |
