Chermak Packs a Wallop -- Hits 3 HR Against Reds

Anchorage catcher Cole Chermak led the Longbows to a triumph, 8-4, over the Aurora Reds, crushing three home runs.
"He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said Anchorage skipper .
Indeed, Chermak put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 3 runs and 5 RBIs.
"I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames," Chermak said. "When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em."
Cole Chermak walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Chris Buckingham in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Emiel Selles in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Tony Torres in the 9th.
In 64 games Chermak is hitting .296 this season with 59 hits, 7 home runs, 22 RBIs, 31 walks, .397 OBP and has scored 17 runs.
