Glynn Smacks 3 Out of the Park Friday, June 21st , 2080 Fans at Mountaineers Ballpark got an impromptu firework display courtesy of Reno Mountaineers catcher Brian Glynn. He belted a trifecta of home runs to power his club to victory, 7-6, over the Lamoine Shockwave. In the win, Glynn stunned the Shockwave pitching staff for 5 hits in 6 at-bats and knocked in 4 runs. "It was the best kind of day," Glynn said after the game. "I hardly had to work for it. Hitting today was a piece of cake, with lots of extra icing on it." Brian Glynn hit a solo-shot off David Quiles in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off David Quiles in the 6th, singled in the 8th, flied out in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off Jonathan Roberts in the 12th. In his season totals, Glynn has 7 home runs, .283 BA, .356 OBP, 11 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has played in 31 games. |
