Metalheads Lose Guevara for 8-9 Months Saturday, May 16th , 2076 Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Efrain Guevara of the Metalheads knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Ames Lake Jackalopes while running the bases. Because of a torn posterior cruciate ligament, the Tulsa shortstop is expected to miss 8-9 months. Guevara was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen." A look at his current stats shows Guevara with a .220 average, 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has played in 33 games. |
