Partin Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Thursday, April 28th , 2078 John Partin's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Newport News third baseman smacked 1 hit against the Sault Ste. Marie Dukes in today's game at Ballpark of Raleigh, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Herons drop the game, 2-1. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." John Partin walked in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. For the year, Partin is batting .394 with 4 home runs. |
