Mario Torres Hurt, Out for Year Sunday, May 5th , 2080 After the end of today's game between Montgomery and Eagle Mountain, Mario Torres skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch, the Counts had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The reliever will miss at least 14 months with a damaged elbow ligament. So far this season, Torres has picked up 2 saves in 8 relief appearances. He has also compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark with a 0.82 ERA and fanned 14 batters in 11 innings. |
