April's Starter of the Month Goes to Gonzalez Wednesday, May 1st , 2080 Hector Gonzalez really put his best foot forward in April with 4 wins and no losses and walked off with the Pitcher of the Month honors in the Beta Conference. When he got the start for the Honolulu Axemen, it was good news for his club, but bad news for the opposition. In 33.1 innings of work, Gonzalez limited opposing batters to 21 base hits and a .178 batting average. He notched 33 strikeouts, issued 13 walks and had a 1.08 ERA. |
