3 Boomers for Bombus
Tuesday, April 30th , 2080
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Yosvany Bombus did at Seafarers Ballpark, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 8-3.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Bombus said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Binghamton Blues second baseman blistered the Nevada Seafarers for 3 hits, batted in 3 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Nevada manager said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Yosvany Bombus hit a solo-shot off Jaime Luther in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, grounded out in the 8th, hit a solo-shot off Phil Lesher in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Martin Roman in the 10th.
In 21 games this season, Bombus has compiled a .371 batting average with 33 hits and 9 home runs. He has also scored 17 times and knocked in 16 runs.
