Geng Rocks Blues for 3 HRs Wednesday, April 17th , 2080 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Ballpark of Mascot buzzing, Pawtucket Patriots center fielder Zhong-shan Geng blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 9-4, over the Binghamton Blues. "Everything was clicking," Geng told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Geng shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Patriots manager said. "Zhong-shan played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Zhong-shan Geng hit a solo-shot off Sadatoshi Watanabe in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Sadatoshi Watanabe in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Douglas Faust in the 7th. This season, Geng is batting .256 with 11 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 9 times and has 6 RBI. |
