Patriots Shearn Out Rest Of Season
Friday, April 12th , 2080
The doctors have spoken and Ken Shearn of the Pawtucket Patriots didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Shearn sustained his season-ending injury during the Nevada Seafarers game yesterday at Ballpark of Mascot. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Pawtucket medical staff reported Shearn had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months.
