Castillo Cracks 3 HRs for Ames Lake Monday, April 8th , 2080 Steve Castillo went on a hitting rampage at Jackalopes Ballpark and got membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He walloped three into the stands to pace the Jackalopes to a win, 16-5, over the Aurora Reds. The Ames Lake center fielder collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 7 and scored 3 runs. "I don't know, you never know when things are going to fall into place," he told the press after his big game. "Today, I didn't have any special insight or adjustment, I just happened to get three pitches I was ready for." Steve Castillo hit an RBI single in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Mario Aguilar in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Jeremy Fitch in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Angel Perez in the 8th. |
