Saints Fizzle in 5-0 Loss to Trappers Wednesday, July 28th , 2083 The bats were ice cold for the Saint Paul Saints at Ballpark of Edmonton. Edmonton Trappers starter Selme Alvarez kept the Saints cold all day, shutting them out, 5-0. In a fine outing, the 26-year-old hurler allowed 4 hits while striking out 5 and walking 1. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," Alvarez admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves." Thus far this season, Alvarez has compiled a 6-7 record, made 7 relief appearances with 1 save, hurling 120 innings and striking out 114.
