Lannin Fires 1-0 Shutout for Reno Wednesday, August 2nd , 2079 In an outstanding mound performance, Reno Mountaineers starter Brent Lannin fired a complete-game shutout against the Marfa Lights at Mountaineers Ballpark. Lannin was the key to the 1-0 Reno win. The 22-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 4 hits and no walks he allowed. "4 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout." Thus far this season, Lannin has tossed 136 innings in 20 starts, fanned 156 batters, walked 40 and put up a 2.38 ERA with 8 wins and 5 losses. View Boxscore |
