Diaz Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games Sunday, July 4th , 2083 Danny Diaz ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Naturals Stadium, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Salton City Naturals dropped the game, 9-8, to the Scottsdale Crawdads. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Diaz said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Danny Diaz struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. So far this season, Diaz has 9 home runs and a .296 batting average. |
