Campbell Slams 6 Hits for Tampico Sunday, July 4th , 2083 The Bucaneros whipped the Patriots, 31-7, at Ballpark of Mascot and Phil Campbell had a big hand in the win. The Bucaneros second baseman came to the plate 9 times and collected 6 hits. It was a good day for Campbell and a tough day for Pawtucket. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Campbell delivered -- 6-for-9 is outstanding in any league. Phil Campbell singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
