Yount Parks 3 HR in the Seats Wednesday, July 12th , 2079 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Scottsdale Crawdads. Lamoine right fielder Justin Yount tripled up on the home runs to propel the Shockwave to a win, 7-1, at Shockwave Ballpark. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Scottsdale manager said. "Yount hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Yount collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Justin Yount hit a solo-shot off Tony Madena in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Myung-bak Hyong in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Shosuke Kuroda in the 8th. This season, Yount is batting .265 with 69 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 24 times and has 22 runs batted in. |
