Mortensen Pounds 3 HR Against Seafarers Friday, June 16th , 2079 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Seafarers Ballpark buzzing, Eagle Mountain Scavengers right fielder Chris Mortensen blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 8-1, over the Nevada Seafarers. "Everything was clicking," Mortensen told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them." Mortensen shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Scavengers manager said. "Chris played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game." Chris Mortensen hit a solo-shot off Oscar Santiago in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Andy Eckert in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Martin Roman in the 8th. So far this season, Mortensen has put up a .169 batting average with 36 hits, 11 home runs and 29 RBIs. |
