Allomes Goes Yard 3 Times Saturday, June 10th , 2079 Fans are still buzzing after Sault Ste. Marie whipped the Newport News Herons by the score of 8-6 at Ballpark of Raleigh. Damon Allomes smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the right fielder bashed out 4 hits in 7 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Allomes said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Allomes said. "Three is just... wow." Damon Allomes hit a solo-shot off Pat Cochran in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Pat Cochran in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 8th, flied out in the 10th, grounded out in the 13th and hit a two-run home run off Omar Rodriguez in the 15th. In 2079 Allomes has hit at a .269 clip with 58 hits, 12 home runs, 32 RBIs and has scored 30 times. |
