Morquecho Launches 3 HR for Commodores Monday, May 22nd , 2079 Worcester Commodores shortstop Miguel Morquecho left the Honolulu pitching staff in ruins at Axemen Ballpark, beating the Axemen, 10-3, with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Morquecho told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Worcester shortstop had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5 and scored 3 runs. Miguel Morquecho hit a three-run home run off Jake Skiba in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Mario Santana in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Hou-kang Huang in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. For the season, Morquecho has produced 12 hits in 34 at-bats for a .353 average with 4 home runs and gotten on base at a .421 clip. |
