BC Star of the Week Honored Monday, May 10th , 2083 The hottest bat of the week belonged to Worcester right fielder Mike Owens. He went on a rampage last week against BC hurlers and rapped out 13 hits in 26 at-bats for a .500 average while hitting 2 home runs, driving in 6 runs and scoring 7 runs -- numbers quite worthy of the Beta Conference Player of the Week trophy. Owens was honored today at a press conference. A look at his season totals shows Owens with 7 home runs, .364 BA, .444 OBP, 14 RBIs and 19 runs scored. |
