Player of the Week Trophy to Kung Monday, April 24th , 2079 Pitchers who faced the Ames Lake Jackalopes last week were happy to see Wan-hua Kung in the rear-view mirror. The 25-year-old center fielder was dubbed the Alpha Conference Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that saw him hit at a .522 clip. For the week he also chalked up 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 7 runs scored. This season, Kung has banged out 15 hits in 39 at-bats for a .385 average with 2 home runs. He is getting on base at a .467 pace and his totals also include 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored. |
