There was nobody hotter in the Beta Conference this season as Matt Salmon attacked enemy pitching with a vengeance and came away with the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2078.

The 23-year-old left fielder hit .270 while collecting 137 hits, 23 doubles, 1 triple, 43 home runs and 112 RBIs. He also scored 76 runs and posted a .360 on-base percentage.

He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 30. Tae-shik Lee of the San Antonio Texicans finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Matt Lawson of the Akron Pickets finished third.
