AC Names Outstanding Hitter Award Winner

Juan Carrillo took RSL Triple A by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 23.
For his spectacular campaign, the Joliet Blues star has been named the 2078 Alpha Conference Outstanding Hitter Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the third baseman.
On the season he compiled a .318 batting average to go with a .377 on-base percentage. The native of Havana, Cuba also added 28 doubles, 2 triples, 35 home runs, 85 RBIs and 69 runs scored.
He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Nate Eastick of the Baton Rouge Kings finished second in voting, while Danny Mercadante of the Guadalajara Charros finished third.
