Wiegand Named BC Batter of the Month Thursday, September 1st , 2078 Matt Wiegand, the San Antonio second baseman, certainly made a name for himself this past month. He banged out a .357 batting average with 30 hits, 7 home runs, 18 RBIs and scored 22 times. That kind of hitting earned him the Beta Conference Batter of the Month honors for August. To date, Wiegand has collected 62 hits for a .290 average. He has posted 15 home runs, scored 41 runs and driven in 45 runs. |
