More Woes for Drummers Mike Merdinger Sunday, August 30th , 2076 Yesterday Huntington Beach starting pitcher Mike Merdinger sustained a setback in his recovery from a hamstring strain. The Drummers medical staff told him it would be at least 2-3 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Merdinger told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Merdinger worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal. This year Merdinger has fanned 161 in 139 innings and collected a 11-5 record with a 3.50 ERA. |
