Justin Samsel Out for 6 Months Monday, September 2nd , 2080 Baton Rouge has lost reliever Justin Samsel for at least 6 months. He was hurt in a game against the Broncs while throwing a pitch and sustained a torn labrum. His doctors said Samsel will probably be out the rest of the year. So far this season, Samsel has a 3-2 won-lost record with no saves. He has made 13 relief appearances, logged 28.1 innings and fanned 33 batters while fashioning a 4.76 ERA and allowing the opposition a .305 batting average. |
