Cervantes Week's Best in BC Monday, August 3rd , 2076 Dennis Cervantes had a week for the ages as he romped to the Beta Conference Player of the Week Award. The happy-go-lucky 38-year-old still plays ball like a kid, mashing and slashing as he goes. The Chesapeake Rams third baseman hit .391 last week as he chalked up 9 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Thus far this season in 74 games Cervantes is batting .242 with 12 home runs, 51 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has 61 hits in 252 at-bats. |
