Riverside Wins it All Friday, September 10th , 2083 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Riverside Spinners, that meant the RSL Triple A League Championship trophy. The Spinners took a 5-1 victory over the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks at Spinners Ballpark, winning their 2nd championship after taking the series 5-4. "We've got grit," said Spinners catcher Allen Braun, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to." The new titleholders completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the Alpha Conference and a 83-47 record. View Boxscore |
