Manny Alaniz Chosen BC's Top Player Friday, September 22nd , 2079 The manager of the San Bernadino Sun Devils said he thinks Manny Alaniz is only going to get better as he gets older. He may only be 24, but it will be hard to top the center fielder's 2079 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Beta Conference Outstanding Hitter Award. His winning campaign featured a .307 batting average and a .394 on-base percentage this year. In 114 games he piled up 124 hits, 21 doubles, 1 triple, 16 home runs, 43 RBIs and 60 runs scored. He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 30. Cedric Leal of the Garland Pigeons finished second in voting with 15 first place votes, while Ricardo Puente of the San Bernadino Sun Devils finished third.
