Roadsters Scott Hoffman Will Miss Season Friday, August 25th , 2079 The doctors have spoken and Scott Hoffman of the Fremont Roadsters didn't like what he heard. The 33-year-old second baseman is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Hoffman sustained his season-ending injury during the Anchorage Homesteads game yesterday at Homesteads Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Fremont medical staff reported Hoffman had a ruptured achilles tendon and would be absent from the lineup for at least 6-7 months. For the year, Hoffman has hit .249 with 7 home runs, 26 RBIs and scored 29 runs. |
