Injury Takes Toll, Jose Bordon Out Friday, August 13th , 2083 Huntington Beach Drummers third baseman Jose Bordon left yesterday's game against the Hialeah Boomers after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament running the bases. Bordon was taken to the clubhouse for examination by team doctors. A team spokesman told BNN today Bordon is expected to miss 6 months. In 77 games this season, Bordon has compiled a .271 batting average with 77 hits and 9 home runs. He has also scored 34 times and knocked in 34 runs. |
