But in the present, he said, the club is quite disappointed with the realization today that they are now mathematically out of playoff contention for the 2079 season. Garland last appeared in the postseason in 2042. This is their 37th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 80 times in their 90-year history.
