Tapia Bashes 3 HR for Garland Monday, August 21st , 2079 Garland Pigeons left fielder Rodolfo Tapia had a magnificent game against the Jersey City Sea Serpents, rocketing three balls out of Field of the Sea Serpents to help the Pigeons win, 6-0. "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes." For the game, Tapia went 3-for-4 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Garland manager said later. "Seems like Rodolfo found his home run stroke today." Rodolfo Tapia flied out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Zhao-dao Li in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Zhao-dao Li in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Tony Arauza in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Currently Tapia is batting .318 with 16 home runs and 30 RBIs. |
