Salazar Goes on Rampage Against Pickets
Saturday, August 19th , 2079
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but San Antonio's Victor Salazar made it happen against the Pickets. Everything came together at the plate for the 26-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and helped the Texicans triumph, 5-2, at Chuckers Park.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Salazar said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Victor Salazar singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jaime Zuniga in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
In 67 games this season, Salazar has batted at a .306 pace with 57 hits and 5 home runs.
