Black Takes AC #1 Pitcher Trophy Saturday, August 1st , 2076 Sometimes relievers are treated like second class citizens, most of the time the award goes to the starters, but not this month. A reliever, Martin Black, has been named the Pitcher of the Month in the Alpha Conference. In July, the Hicksville relief specialist stood out with no saves in 2 relief appearances, a 5-1 won-lost mark and 2.56 ERA. He worked 38.2 innings, allowed 29 hits, struck out 34 and walked 8. Black has earned 3 saves and a 5-2 mark this season with a 2.91 earned run average in 22 relief appearances. He has worked 74.1 innings, yielded 64 hits, struck out 71 batters and walked 25. |
