Moreno Valley first baseman Jesus Duran thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Moreno Valley to a win, 15-0, over Hamilton. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Duran said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Duran was 4-for-5 on the day with 5 runs batted in. Jesus Duran hit a two-run home run off Shane Curry in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Miguel Guerra in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Miguel Guerra in the 7th. So far in 2078 Duran is batting .409 with 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and 12 runs scored. He has 18 hits in 44 at-bats and a .550 OBP. |
