Billy Zaffuto Injured, Out for Year Wednesday, July 17th , 2080 The Riverside Spinners learned that Billy Zaffuto is likely to be out for 4-5 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Chula Vista Ghouls. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be an arthritic elbow. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Riverside manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Billy is back in action." This year, Zaffuto has a 4-5 record and a 4.08 ERA. |
