Fitzpatrick Goes Deep 3 Times Wednesday, July 1st , 2076 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Quahog Players today. Wichita first baseman Lesley Fitzpatrick tripled up on the home runs to propel the Riversharks to the 16-3 win at Ballpark of Genoa. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Quahog manager said. "Fitzpatrick hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Fitzpatrick collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats, 9 RBIs and scored 4 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Lesley Fitzpatrick hit a solo-shot off Naoya Yoshimoto in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Seth Klose in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Armando Servantez in the 9th. To date Fitzpatrick has chalked up a .295 average with 13 home runs, driven in 40 runs and scored 45 times. |
