Esaki Goes 5-for-5 Against Baton Rouge Sunday, June 23rd , 2080 It was a sensational day at the plate for Takeshi Esaki as he led the charge to a nifty 2-1 win over the Kings. The Anchorage right fielder was pure misery for the Baton Rouge pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Esaki put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Kings, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Takeshi Esaki singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 10th. This year, Esaki is hitting .383 with 2 home runs.
