Wichita designated hitter Cesar Najar thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Wichita to a win, 8-3, over Fremont. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Najar said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Najar, who leads the AC in RBI with 37, was 3-for-3 on the day with 5 runs batted in. Cesar Najar hit a solo-shot off Bernd Miller in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Bernd Miller in the 3rd and hit a two-run home run off Bernd Miller in the 5th. For the season, Najar is hitting at a .261 clip with 14 home runs, 37 RBIs and has scored 26 runs. He has 54 hits, 9 walks and a .294 on-base percentage. |
