Koehler Slams 3 Homers for Sea Serpents Tuesday, May 28th , 2080 It was a day for the record books for Jersey City Sea Serpents second baseman Tyler Koehler, who walloped three out of Chuckers Park against the Texicans. However, not even a three-homer game could prevent the Texicans from getting the 13-10 victory. "We threw some good pitches and they hit 'em, and we made some bad pitches and they hit 'em. That's a good strategy for losing ballgames," Jersey City skipper joked after the loss. Koehler still had a few opportunities to celebrate along the way. He was 4-for-5 for the day, batting in 7 runs and scoring 3 times. "I never, ever thought I would hit three home runs," Koehler said. "I hit three home runs once when I was 12 in Little League and I thought that was going to be the last time." Tyler Koehler hit a two-run home run off Jordan Duque in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Jordan Duque in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Juan Colleano in the 9th. Thus far this year, Koehler has hit .287 with 7 home runs and 25 RBIs. |
