Hit Streak Over, Blaze Stop Collier Monday, May 9th , 2078 The Blaze stopped Larry Collier's 21-game hitting streak at Blaze Ballpark, but they couldn't stop the Huntington Beach Drummers, falling by the score of 2-1. Collier didn't get a hit for the first time in weeks, finishing 0-for-1. "It's just as well," Drummers manager said. "We couldn't spend the whole season going out of our way not to jinx him." For the year, Collier has hit .407 with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and scored 22 runs. |
