Collier Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Saturday, May 7th , 2078 The Huntington Beach Drummers stopped the Moreno Valley Blaze, 6-3, and Larry Collier collected a base hit yet again. The Huntington Beach third baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Collier told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Larry Collier doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. Currently Collier is batting .407 with 5 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
