Pigeons Lawless Booms 3 HRs
Thursday, April 21st , 2078
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Josh Lawless did at Traders Ballpark, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 8-4.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Lawless said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Garland Pigeons left fielder blistered the Lincoln Traders for 3 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Lincoln manager said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Josh Lawless flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Israel Reyes in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Mike Miller in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Kieran Woods in the 10th.
This year, Lawless is batting .192 with 5 home runs and 10 RBIs. In 13 games he has scored 6 times.
