Flores Hurls No-Hitter Saturday, April 16th , 2078 It was a fantastic day for Garland Pigeons starter Joey Flores and a lousy day for the Hialeah Boomers. The Garland hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Boomers, as the Pigeons cruised to a 2-0 win. When it was all over, Flores was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter. "The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Flores said later.
