Chinooks Lose McCabe for Season
Friday, April 19th , 2080
The doctors have spoken and Cal McCabe of the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks didn't like what he heard. The 38-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. McCabe sustained his season-ending injury during the Garland Pigeons game yesterday at Pigeons Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Chugiak-Eagle River medical staff reported McCabe had radial nerve compression and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months.
