Riverside Loses Jose Cortez, Will Miss Season Tuesday, April 16th , 2080 The season is finished for Jose Cortez of the Riverside Spinners. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Spinners second baseman suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament while running the bases in a recent game against the Anchorage Homesteads. Team doctors said it would take at least 9 months to heal. This season, Cortez is hitting .226 with 1 home run. |
