Arlington Loses Manny Estrada, Will Miss Season
Sunday, July 18th , 2083
Arlington second baseman Manny Estrada could miss the remainder of the season because of a ruptured medial collateral ligament. He exited yesterday's Akron game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Estrada would be out 6-7 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."
For the season, Estrada is batting .265 with 74 hits and 6 home runs. He has scored 37 times and batted in 27.
