Fernandez Bashes 5 Base Hits Sunday, July 11th , 2083 Pablo Fernandez was unstoppable, but the Rochester Reds were not. Despite his hitting heroics at Rough Riders Ballpark, the Reds lost, 6-5, to the Chula Vista Ghouls. Fernandez battered Chula Vista for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His only consolation will be a boost in his batting average and a brief mention in the record book. Fernandez just shook his head after the game, telling BNN reporters, "It's the team with the most runs that wins, not the most hits." Pablo Fernandez hit a three-run home run off Bill Spotton in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
